My left ear is so sore right now. After experiencing excruciating pain Saturday night, I went to Makati Med to seek medical advice. And what have we got? A pimple-like infection near the eardrum! Eeeww! Now that cost me P1,500 for antibiotics and pain relievers. But still, that didn’t hinder me from my ultimate passion: cooking. We surely can’t get enough of get-together with close friends... so Jim and I hosted a potluck dinner at our place last Sunday night. I made some smashed potatoes with cream cheese, hoisin and honey baked pork chops and a dessert I’m truly proud of... banana-strawberry split pie. Yum-OH! I made the hot fudge sauce from scratch, among other things (except for the strawberry ice cream though, hee hee!). Thanks to Gelo, who gave that compendium of pies and tarts as a gift last Christmas, and for bringing lechon manok, Dave for the wonderful pork sinigang, and Cholo, Abbu and Badz for the drinks. ‘Til next time!
