Pictorial Sessions

After feasting on siomai, Spam lite and TJ hotdogs last Sunday night, we decided to do some "pictorial" sessions with Edward at the helm. I must say the shots were remindful of the current local telenovelas!

Oh Mamma Mia!

Jim and I were set to watch "The Dark Knight" last Saturday night but unlucky us, almost all seats were taken for the last full show at Greenbelt 3. We had no choice but to catch the musical "Mamma Mia!". I can say it was much fun to watch the said movie, and part of that joy was that the film's flashy, raunchy (and I love it that way!) and an ultimate Abba festival!

Meryl Streep was as radiant as ever as she portrayed Donna, the leader of a 1970's act, The Dynamos. She was admirable --- she can belt, she can dance, and she can climb walls and jump on a mattress uninhibitedly! Her back-up singers, Christine Baranski and Julie Walters, did stellar performances also. The newcomer, Amanda Seyfried can definitely carry a tune. She's adorable! The 1 hour and 48 minute movie was worth it, except for the few instances that Pierce Brosnan sang, haha! I'm not surprised that as of today, it raked $62 million at the box office. If you wanna be in the mood for some "Dancing Queen" moments, go watch this one. I bet you'll have that LSS (last song syndrome) going on! :-P

After Spikes and Tosses

Yes, the volleyball meet last Sunday at the 4/F Starmall Courts (along Shaw Blvd.) was a success! Everybody had their share of spikes, tosses, cheering (and jeering) and scoring the game (that includes me!). It was absolutely an event that needs to have a repeat!

Sweaty but happy!

We were surely quenching our thirst... t'was humid!

After almost 2 hours of perspiring at Court D, we headed to Chicken Bacolod for much-needed chow!

Of course, we couldn't resist Davey's clicks!

The chicken pecho and inihaw na talong tamed my growling stomach!

It's A Good Earth!

After dealing with the dentist this morning, I met up with Jimmy and Paupau for a lunch buffet @...

of the Cupcakes by Sonja fame.

They offer the Php299 per head order-all-you- can promo from 12noon 'til 2pm. Pretty sweet! I got one of the best refreshing drinks in this world:

Hail Ye PLDT!

We'd like to commend PLDT for a job well done! Last Monday, Jim followed up our application for a new myDSL line. That very same day, despite the heavy rain, the connection was installed! I can say this is way better than our previous ISP... much faster surfing indeed!

Hats off to PLDT myDSL! :-P

A Jumpy Sunday!

It was a relaxing night last Sunday. The barkada first met up at Cable Car, hoping to catch the Burger 50% off promo. Luckily, we all tasted the delish juicy patties, thanks to Edward for making reservations.

We're glad there was no downpour that time...

We then had late midnight snack at Japok's. While waiting for the food to be served, we had our jump shots within the gas station vicinity.

Banana Split Night

We're all dessert fanatics so we came up with a "theme" for last Saturday night's meet-up. It was Banana Split Night! We all had the necessary ingredients... luscious bananas, crushed pineapple, mini marshmallows, sugar-free strawberry preserves, whipped cream, light chocolate syrup and...

... the workforce behind assembling the dessert!

Of course, the most important component...
